---------------

The IMB has developed a brand new way for students and young adults to serve overseas for 4-12 months. These experiences are called Hands On and they will begin in January ‘08 in Africa and will be available all over the world beginning January ‘09.

Hands On experiences are different because they:

  • Include a heavy discipleship component for participants (extensive training, on-the-field mentoring, debriefing)
  • Include longer assignments for students. Currently, for Africa, they run on a semester schedule (Jan-June and July-December)
  • Are SIGNIFICANTLY subsidized by the IMB. Students contribute only $2600 plus passport and immunizations toward the $7000 cost for each experience. The $2600 covers plane ticket, travel visa(s), an extended Adams and Associates insurance policy, housing, food, and local transportation
  • Have students working in teams of 4 under the supervision of experienced IMB missionaries

For more information visit the Hands On website at www.hands-on-africa.com .
